I almost hate to ask this question but I really want to know. Considering a new exhaust for a new little C5 I just bought as a DD. I know what a great system GHL has but I keep hearing about Magnaflow with the X pipe. Has anyone had an experience withthe Magnaflow? Good or bad I would like to know. I getting price of about 1200.00 shipped and installed. Good or Bad? Thanks in advance for all your help.
I have the GHL bulls eye with the Magnaflow X-pipe. It is a great sounding system. No resonance when cruising at a highway speed of 60-70. I highly recommend this set up.
I have the Magnaflow X pipe and Cat Back system on my 2004 M6 vert.
It has a nice rumble at idle and I sure know its there at WOT. There is almost no resonance at any driving speed. The system is very high quality and was easy to install. $1200 for the system delivered and installed doesn't sound too bad to me. I think I paid about $1,000 not delivered or installed. You will enjoy this system on a DD.
I love my Magnaflows they are high quality for sure, but without the X-pipe there will be some resonance around the 1600rpm area (my experience anyway). Since I now have the LG headers I have the Magnaflow X-pipe for sale.
I put the Magnaflow w/X-pipe on my 04 auto coupe. It has a nice low rumble but not real loud. When you get on it then it comes to life with as aggresive growl. Very little resonance at highway speed. I am very happy with the setup and the quality of the product. Muffler shop guy suggested the magnaflow & x-pipe because I wanted something fairly tame as mine is a daily driver. It is a big improvement over stock exhaust.

I agree, this is a great system. I have tried them all and for the deep rumble and not alot of " just loud noise " this is the best. For pricing try Nate at the Corvette Garage. I bought mine for under $900. He is a forum sponsor and delivers great products for great prices.
Bad 2004, I have the GHL system and love it. I bought the 6 inch cans to keep the resonance away and got the 2 tip version because I like the look. Bought the system directly from GHL (they have a special going now) and paid $50 to get them put on. You should not pay any more than about $650-$750 installed depending on what tips you get.
Green Goblin, Your car looks GREAT! That is an excellent picture.
