i have borla quad stingers on my oo a4 coupe will an x-pipe help cut down on the resonance? if so is one better than the other? do all require cutting?
Yes it will help your resonance and yes it has to be cut or actually what has to be cut is the original H-pipe that is on your car now.the manufacturers of the X-pipe will tell you about HP gain but you will find that all it does is change the tone-if you look in the C-5 parts you might find one for sale, hope this helps

I had too much resonance in mine - installed a Bassani X-pipe and it really took a lot of that away. I did have to cut my stock pipes to put the X-pipe on.
thanks guys i love the stingers but don't care for that drone
I did not have any luck reducing the drone of the Stingers by adding an x-pipe. I only reduced the burbling and pop on deceleration and mellowed the roar a bit.
