Default Flexible paint

I painted my front air dam with gloss black a few months ago. The paint is now cracking and falling off because of the flex in the plastic. What kind of can spray paint can be used that will be flexible and not break off.

I don't know of any paint in a spray can, that I am aware of, that has the flexibility that you are looking for. Plus since the airdam scrap the ground quit a bit and with you car being lower I think that it would still crack and peel off.

You can buy flexible bumper primer and paint at the parts store in the spray and touch-up paint section. I have bought it there in the past. You can also get the more expensive stuff in a spray can with the flex additive added in any color you want at www.paintscratch.com (you have to specify the flex be added in).

Thanks Patches, you always have the answers.

As far as the scraping goes, yes it happens. It only scraps the very botton edge though, so that's not really an issue.

You should try Krylon paint for plastic. I used it on my fuel rail covers and you know how you have to bend the drivers side to get it on. Well no cracks or anything. I've used Krylon paint for years and you can't find a better spray paint on the market. My .02 Hope this helps you out.

I primed mine, then painted it with GM paint to match my car. So far no problems.
