found a beautiful 2000 coupe loaded with 5100 miles with extended warranty for $30k but found a 2004 same color and options for $41k.should I save $11k and buy 2000 or the 2004 ?
I got my 04 for less then that including taxes. It's pretty much loaded with ride control , 6 speed, chrome rims. Only missing the 6 CD changer and dual roof.
I must live in a low cost area.

That would be a tough decision for sure. If faced with it myself, I would go with the lowmileage 2000. With that low a mileage, I don't see 30K being unreasonable....but it have better be in mint condx, for that kind of money.
The extended warranty (depending on which one it is) would be a deciding factor as well.
If you can afford the extra $11k go for it but you may be better off buying the 00 since the first owner took alot of the the big depreciation hit already...I bought a 99 for $23k with 20k miles and saved $17k over the cost of an 04 and it's virtualy the same car....U may find you can't afford the 04 with a high payment and then you will take a big loss if you sell within the first few years.....

I'd go with the '00 - may be a little high so you might be able to get it a little cheaper. Plus you would save at least 11K - lots of mods can be had for that kind of cash.
30k for a 00 with 5000 miles is 1k under book. Depends where you live in the country. I would save the 10-15k on a 04 and go with the 00. Do you like it? Just remember all the fluids have to be changed, the car is probally over the 5 years date of service. I would get the 00' IMO
Six CD changer? I have 12 disc CD changer in the center rear compartment of my '04 that came with the package that includes the HUD, memory package, etc. (I paid $37K by the way for my '04 and got exactly what I wanted).
Get the '04, GM made avout a dozen improvements every year in the C5s, so the '04 should have 40-50 improvements over the '00 and there is nothing like a new car.
My decision was between the '04 coupe and an '05 convertible (which I can buy at invoice when they arrive). I just don't like waiting and happen to really like the C5 better and prefer a coupe (I guess I almost got caught up in the power top thing).
When GM puts a power hardtop convertible on a Vette, that when I'll buy another vert. (and keep the coupe).
