Last weekend started my first MODS. I installed the CLB and the Halltech Stinger.
This weekend I figured I lower the car on the stock bolts. Basically another easy MOD (about 1.5 hours of taking my time - now it would take .5 hours at most), but wow it looks much better. At first I thought no big deal, but then about 6 hours later after it settled somewhat it really looked lower and the gap in the wheels wells was slowly disappearing. I noticed it the most this morning when I rubbed the spoiler coming out of the driveway.
I do recommend taking off the front wheels though it was much easier to make the upfront adjustment. Jacking it up was also another small obstale to overcome, but I figured it out with a bit of thinking. I did lower the car onto a 2X4 to make sure I had enough clearance to get the jack out (not sure if I needed to do it, but felt better).
Next weekend I am doing the CAGS. I know - I had the car up I could have done it this weekend, but then what would I look forwward to next week?
I'm waiting for my Halltech Stinger in the mail this week. That will get me in the garage doing stuff to the vette this weekend!
I put in the Stinger 2 weekends ago. Easy installation about 1.0 hours for me taking my time. It also took me a bit longer because I had the incorrect plastic tube (the one I got was for a 1997-2000 - it has a hole in the side of it). When the new one came in I replaced it in about 5 mins.
One thing to watch for that I have heard is that people leave the clamp screws for the throttle housing on top and that will cut into the hood covering. I made sure the clamp screws were on the side.
