Default brrrrrrrr...

It's getting too cold to drive with the top down in the mornings

Today was 51 degrees, and at 80MPH, that's getting a little cold. I guess my body needs to get used to the cold.

Have you guys noticed how far above ambient you have to turn the heat before the AC decides it isn't needed? It seems to be some like 20 degree or better. Is that in the owner's manual?

Well it's fall. Less driving, more mods. Less sweat while "wax on wax off". Beer stays cold much longer. Have y'all noticed you car running better on the cool dense air? Me too. At least it's not winter. My garage Isn't heated.

I wish we had a little more of that brrrrrr. I just came in from the garage where all I did was wipe down the Z before I put the car cover on and I'm soaked. Time for a nice strong cold front. I miss the fall!

I agree. That's for Mustang and Sebring drivers! Little different subject, since we don't have to worry about putting a boot over our convertible top when it's down, but I use to have a LeMans convertible and if I didn't have the time to put the boot over the top when it was down, I wouldn't put the top down.

Nothing less cool looking than a Mustang or Sebring driving around with the top 3/4 down with the back windows rolled up.

I drive top down any time it's not raining. My record so far in 2 years is 33 degrees. Gets lots of looks, that's for sure. Windows go up only if the wife is in the car, and then only after some grumbling. She needs this sign:

Get a jacket

I didn't have a Vette when I lived in the Pacific Northwest but I did have a Mustang Vert and I always drove with the top down unless it was actually raining. I carried an extra jacket in the trunk for passengers that came unprepared.

The only time I have driven my Vette with the top up when it wasn't raining is on the few occasions when I have been really badly sunburned from driving around with the top down and my skin was peeling off
