It's my guess this poor Vette has been abused....the wing is proof of it!
Weird that they would say there is “small blemish” on driver’s door but then only show photo of passenger door. That’s what photos are for.
Also, not sure how well the '97's like the Z06 MA. I doubt if he knows and his HP is clearly unknown.
IMHO, without much more info, this one is already bid at its top value in the mid-teens.
And since you mention tracking it, I can't quite tell if that's a cage or a 4-point. With this one, I'm guessing 4-point bolt in so tracks may still require adding a cage.

I would say it doesn't have the 85mm Z06 MAF sensor because it still has the IAT sensor in the air duct. On the 85mm units it is built into the MAF sensor.
I would not trust it after seeing that.
Thanks for the responses. He is planning on using the car as a dedicated track vehicle, so the door isn't a huge issue. My first impression is that there are a couple of funny things about it. The MAF sensor issue I missed. I also get worried about things like a mongoose package and that picnic table bolted to the trunk.
EBay is a great equalizer as far as value is concerned. He only has 13 hours left and apparently is way off his reserve.
Best thing to do is email the guy and ask the questions that concern you + more pictures. Then see if he is more reasonable after his auction closes far short of his reserve.
Good Luck to your friend!
