Default New 2 post lift - only 8K

I finally pulled the trigger on putting a lift in my garage. I am capable of doing most of the C5 work myself but have paid out alot of labor $$ over the last couple of years. I was looking at a $600 clutch install bill and figured it was time to put one in and it would eventually pay for itself

I grossly misfigured on the cost though

New 2 post lift = $2400.00
Professional install = $300.00
Wifes new furniture in the famaily room $5300.00 (how could I say no)

Total price $8,000.00

I should have studied harder in my home economics class

Brad, If you have a lift you must always have a project in progress. An empty lift is a sign of a man that doesn't take risk or challenge... Or in my case just leave the project sit on the lift for months so everyone thinks you fit the above...

The F-Body will be so I can put the Vette back to "date car" status...before I completely "ruin it".

according to my better half the C5 is:

"too loud, too smelly and too jerky" right now and she would rather take the Suburban to the movies....

Of course at the rate you and Dr. Phil quote parts the F-body may just be a dream

$600 isn't terrible. I was quoted $900 for the clutch R&R and another $100 for installation of a hardened output shaft by one of our local tuners. Congrats on your new lift and congrats to Phil for making it into the 'General' forum .

Cheers,

Mark

Its always the accessories you have to buy to go with the item that gets you.
