I am trying to find a floor jack to raise my Z06. I have the plastic bmw jack pads on and that leaves only 4.5" clearance to raise the car.The lowest floor jack I can find has 5" clearance. Any help on finding a floor jack that will work or your solution would be appreciated. I know ramps do not work because of the front clearances. I remember reading about how people would drive their car up on wood blocks 1st and then drive up on ramps but hoping there is an easier solution.
Thanks

Well you can always jack it up from the jacking pad locations and then place the Rhino's in position. But really throwing a 2x4 infront of the ramps is not that big of a deal either.
I have the jack on the left, the DK13HLQ. It can be pushed under the nose of a mildly lowered C5 (mine's lowered to the limits of the stock bolts) right to the front crossmember.
Typically, I jack up the front from the front crossmember, and drop the front wheels onto Rhino ramps. Then, I jack up the rear at the rear crossmember, and put jackstands on either side of the jack at the rear crossmember.
I'm lucky (or stupid) enough to own two floor jacks. So what I do is first install one of my hockey pucks and start lifting up on one side of the car or the other. When I have enough clearance under the center of the car, I then slide in my second jack as needed. I then relieve the pressure on the first jack and the car settles down onto the second jack, which I then use to jack the car to the height needed for my jack stands (remembering to install my second hockey puck on the other side of course).
It may be a roundabout way of doing it, but it works for me.
Harbor freight 129 dollars 3.5 inch low profile aluminum racing jack.. they also sell them at pep boys.
my car is lowered and this jack works great
Its called the Torin at Pep Boys. Same jack from what I can tell of the swoosh/slash type markings I see on ETs jack as well as the rest of what I can see of his jack. By far the best jack I have ever owned. I have a cheaper hydraulic jack purchased from Wally World which does not even begin to compare..
The Harbor freight was crucial during my header install. And I use it to change into my drag radials. Gets the car up in about 3-4 pumps. I can change the rears in between 5 and 10 minutes. Both wheels torqued to 100ft lbs torque.
I prefer to use a 2x4 at the rear suspension cradle between the designated jacking points on the cradle. Or the front suspension cross member, between the designated jacking points. This allows you to raise the entire rear end or the entire front end as opposed to the hockey pucks under the rocker panel which only allow you to raise up one corner..
Do not place the jack on the leaf spring.
