I was at my "farm" in East Texas on Thursday. I was driving into town when I saw a C6 parked in front of a country grocery store. I stopped to get a look at the C6. The C6 owner was an older gentleman (I am 58, but he was older). He was a real nice guy. Not only did he show me his car, he insisted I get in the driver's seat and start it up. Had me shut the door, so I could see how it opens with a button. He said this was the 3rd Vette he had owned. One from way back and a C5. He and his wife were very friendly. They took time to admire my vette and complement me on the mods.
I told him about the Forum, of course.
All and all, it was great to meet some nice Corvette family folks!
There are lots of great Vette folks. There are some bad apples, but that is true in any case. For the most part all Vette people are great folks. This forum illustrates that!

Liz and I loved our years spent in East Texas. When we moved back to Louisiana, we kept up with the Longview Corvette Club alot. That club has grown by leaps and bounds since it started.
