Crap!!! Car wont turn over!

Had this problem immediately after a car wash 1 week ago. Took a Toro Blower to the Engine and then suddenly she started. Evidently its unrelated cause I have the same problem today. Spark plug maybe? Shoot! I have no clue. All I can do is play around with wires. Of course needless to say, the Toro method didnt work this tiem (yes, I tried, I know, I'm an idiot, but I figured WTF?)

What other possibilities? Crap! Crap! Crap! Would I get a code even though the engine wont start?

won't turn over? what kind of noise is it making?

is it trying to turn over but just wont kick?

if that were the case, take spark plug #1 out and make sure it's firing.
If it's firing, then it's not getting fuel. If it's not firing then go the opposite way, perhaps a coil pack? I dont overly know on these cars.

Give me a single coil distributor setup, i could find the prob. in two seconds. these

.. They're awesome for performance and reliabilty but I just haven't had to figure it out yet.

This happened to me last week in my wife's Alero. Had to have road-side assistance tow the car. The tow truck driver thought it was the fuel pump so he got underneath and hit the tank to try and get it going. Not that the dealer replaced the ignition lock assembly. Said it had something to do with the anti-theft system. Thanks to warranty it was a 300 dollar gimme. So you could try getting nasty with the fuel pump. My car was turning over just wouldn't fire. Hope that helps. Keep us posted.

Have you checked?

I would think it would throw a code even if it doesn't fire. The puter is engaged either way.

I'll check tonight as there has been a new direction here .

When I couldnt get this thing to turn over, I started moving some wires, thinking ther is a loose connection somewhere but still no luck. Then eventually she starts. Now this exact same problem happened to me 3 weeks agao after a car wash.

Anyway, after I get her started I'm driving her and remember stepping on the gas just a little and she just kinda lost power and kinda coasted to a standstill. As she was dying, I tried to start, pop the clutch while in gear and nothing.

So with my flashers on and the car just sitting, I tried to start her but I the same thing happened earlier in the day - she wouldnt turn over. Then I tried starting her and she sounded like she wanted to turned over, almost did, but then died again. I tried a few more times and eventually she started.

First thing that coems to mind is a bad fuel pump or injector. But I'm guessing. I would say bad gas but thats highly unlikely since this has happened on different tanks of gas.

I'll check for codes later tonight. Any ideas?
