Halltech TRAP Installation Report
Installed my TRAP yesterday. It went on easily despite my not jacking up the car as suggested in the (online) video instructions. Replacing the lower fascia required a little tugging but it returned to where it belonged. I did the suggested "idle re-learn" by disconnecting the bat for 10 min and letting it idle for a while before driving. No codes appeared at all and the SOTP dyno tells me I picked up a few hp up top but most noticeable was the increase in torque just off idle. The car walks away" easier and runs smoother. I live at 3500 feet so it's a little anemic on a good day, so I'm thinking at sea level I'd have felt a bit more. All in all, a nice part that works as advertised. What more can you ask for?
