I notice two different style hard rubber jacking aids are offered by various vendors. One, more or less square, the other round.
The claim is that the square type can be left in place. Anyone using this style had a pad fall out? Is there a down side to leaving them installed?
In contrast, the round type apparently is not designed to be left in, and the twist lock feature is to only keep it from falling out until the jack can be placed.
Which style is the choice of the readers out there?
I have the round pads from Bavarian Auto that are made for a 3 series Bimmer. They snap into the existing holes on the Vette like they were designed for the car and they stay put. They work great and they were fairly cheap. I can't remember the exact price. I was leary when I ordered them but once I got them and they locked into place I was very impressed. Now I don't have to worry about keeping them with me in the car. They are always where they need to be.

I've had mine on all season and not even close to falling out. Nice part is that they are low profile and can't be seen, unless your laying on the ground or jack the car up

Why don't you just make them for $2.00 each and use them when needed?

I have a set of the round pucks that I got from Corvette Accessories Unlimited. Works great. But I'm sure the square ones would work fine too. I do not see any reason why you could not leave them installed.

I personally have the square type. I however do not recommend leaving them on. You don't want to take the chance of them snaging on something and falling off. Also the square plastic type beacome loose over time so it's not wise to leave them on. WOW I wish I would have know about the BMW one's before I paid about 85.00 for mine(what a rip off!!!). Hope this helps.........Mike
