Default Convertible top question

Has anyone seen a product called Ragtop for cleaning and protecting the fabric on a convertible? Have not been able to find it in a auto parts store, only on line. LT

It's actually called RaggTopp and I've not seen it available in any of my local stores either. Only on-line. I'd be interested to hear if it is available in stores too.

I have it and have used it my 98 vert as well as my 93 cadillac allante ragtop. It does a nice job cleaning and the protectant that you spray on after it is dry, works very well. It does tend to make the Oak top on my Vette and the burgundy top on the caddy a little darker at first but it does lighten back up. It does rejuvenate the canvas top and causes the rain water to bead. i have never seen it in the stores. I had ordered my online as well.

I saw it in my local Ace Hardware. I didn't get it because my top is vinyl, not canvas. Might call your local Ace, after all " they are the place".

Yes, I use it - great product. I haven't seen it in any of the local auto parts stores. Autogeek.net and I think several other of the Forum vendors here carry it. Also, the Corvette Store at the NCM did carry it. The RaggTopp cleaner can be used for either fabric or vinyl tops. They make two types of protectant, one for fabric and one for vinyl. I've been buying RaggTopp in the twin pack which contains both the cleaner and protectant. There have been a number of threads about RaggTopp in the Car Care Products Forum where you may be able to find more on it. Good luck.

I found it locally here while participating in a Corvette Show in Greenwood, IN. You may want to call "Wolfsteins Pro-Series" at 800.377.4700. That is the manufacturer's name on the brochure I have. They may be able to tell you who carries it in your local area. The outlet here is Paul's Glass & Accessories. Good luck.

Got mine from AutoGeek. After the first application of the protectant, I was shocked at the way the water beaded and rolled off the next time I washed. Makes the top look great again, although I still am having trouble with the greasy finger prints left by a careless mechanic. They seem to go away during the wash, but dust seems to settle in on them as time goes on.

Couldn't find it locally either. Had to buy it online. Works great though.

I'd try Simple green to get the grease out then the Raggtop to clean and protect it afterwards. That sucks having to deal with other people's screw ups. I spent 6 hours detailing the wifes car and a week later the car went into the dealers for an hour. There were greasey boot prints all over the sill and door. Not good for public relations. Good luck with the grease spots.

sounds like a plan, thanks for the tip. I'll try it before the last wash before winter.

In Charlotte, NC it can be purchased at Kee Auto Top 800-438-5934 for $25.00 which includes both the Cleaner and Protectant. You may want to try some local Auto Top places. Works great on my 2004 MSG
