Like the title says, about 60% of the time, the shifter won't hit the 5-6 gate. Anybody else have this problem with the Hurst? I try to shift to 5th, and it won't go so I have to wiggle it for a bit to try to get it in gear. Not what you want goin 60mph
I agree with the above. Some people use these stops to shorten the shift pattern. Not a good thing. Remove them or adjust them so that they don't touch the when it's fully engaged in 3rd and 4th gears. My .02
Wow thanks for all the responses! The stops you're referring to are the ones on the front and back of the shifter, right? Just back the screws out all the way? Thanks again!!
