Default Fuel filter question???

I have a 2000 C5 and was wondering when I should change my fuel filter?

Is it difficult to do?

Where is the filter and how do I begin???

Thanks!

I changed mine this summer at 32K miles. It a 1998 and it still flowed almost as well as the replacement. Had I known that I would have waited longer.
Note:6 speeds have more room to work than than the A4's - and per the tech notes, watch for the gas falling ^#@!!

I live in Phoenix and have 25k miles on my 2000 C5.

Should I wait a while before I change it?

If you usually put in good (fresh) gas I'd wait til at least 50K miles.
I know I won't be changing mine again any time soon!

You should be able to get 50K out of it easy. The filter on a '00 is located along the frame rail, Driver's side in front of the rear wheel. You need a tool to remove it, and you can get it at an auto parts store.

I changed mine at about 60k and WOW what a difference. I bought the car with 33k on it and only put in the highest octane available. Changed it because my mileage was getting pretty poor and it felt sluggish. Made a huge difference
