Default Help with Exhaust Plate

I am looking to buy this exhaust plate, I have tried Ecklers and Zip-Products, both places have discontinued it, does anyone have any idea as to where I might find one to purchase.

Looks like you have a CE vert. I got my exhaust plate through GM at http://www.gm-restorationparts.com/e...ITES/entry.asp

The part number is 15142327

At least this way you are staying with the CE theme. It is made by West Coast Corvettes, but the shipping is cheaper from this site.

Mid-America may have it. Otherwise, West Coast Corvettes has a nice billet one.

That looks very much like an exhaust plate that I think may have been made by a company called Hi-Tech Custom Concepts. At one time, they made a number of polished billet aluminum accessories for the C5. I think now though they are mostly making accessories for the H2 Hummer. When I went to their website above, I saw two other C5 exhaust plates but not the one you're interested in. I have another one of their exhaust place and it is of very high quality. You might check their website for their contact information (click on "Support" to the left on their home page) and see if they might possibly give you a lead on the plate your interested in.

They also sold some of their exhaust plates on eBay and were listed under the seller name of Karlbrkr. (I think Karlbrkr may have been the company owner as his auctions were always linked to Hi-Tech Custom Concepts.) I just noticed that this seller has two different plates listed on eBay now. Here's the link to one of his auctions where I saw a phone number listed: Exhaust Plate on eBay.

Too, at one time I used to see a number of the plate you're interested in, new and used, listed on eBay. You might watch there. Just do a search on "Corvette Exhaust Plate".

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Good link murph. He'll be able to get that a whole lot cheaper. I like the billet ones but absolutely refuse to spend 3-400 bucks for a plate between the exhaust.

Just out of curiousity, what's with the holes on either side?

The holes are where you bolt it on the the exhaust.

"Bolt it on the exhaust"?? It doesn't use two sided tape like my cheap stuff???

Guess I'd have to see one, can't quite visualize where it actually bolts to.

Thanks,

Mark
