Are they rare or what? Every one I find that's black has a black interior.

I have an 04 Blk/Mod Red and Love it. Only about 20% of all Z's produced were with the Mod Red Interiors. Black Accounts for a little more than 25% of all Z's produced, so you should be able to find some out there.

I have something called Torch Red interior in my black 2003 Z, or at least that's what's on my original sticker. Mine must be very rare, because everyone else seems to have Mod Red interiors.

Is the entire interior red or does it look just like Mod Red? Maybe GM called it something different than Mod Red on the window sticker?

It is black and red inside, just like the Mod Red evryone else says they have. It's just that my original sticker calls the interior Torch Red, just like the exterior color choice on Z's. I guess I just don't understand how the term "Mod Red" for the interior came about, when I seriously doubt that my sticker is any different (at least where it describes interior color) than the thousands of other Vettes out there with a red and black interior. Maybe it's semantics, but Torch Red is what the General calls it.

The color of the red in the Mod Red interior is Torch Red, as you probably know. I don't think that GM could've done it any other way because it wouldn't match a Torch Red Z if they ordered the Mod Red interior. Two shades of red would've looked lousy.

Did anyone else notice GM calling the Mod Red interior Torch Red on the window sticker?

Yes, My 04 Sticker referred to it as Torch Red (not actually as mod red). I thought Mod Red was just a term that was more of a Group Slang term used by us Z owners

It is a mean looking machine with the red int., Gives it real attitude.
