Default bottom door seal

I've seen these door seals, I beleive from Mid-America, that fit along the bottom of the door to keep out road grime. Do these work and if so has anyone tried just using something from Lowe's to accomplish the same thing?

I tried them. They work better keeping the road grime IN. They do NOT keep the door sills clean. They also start to peel off before long. I ripped mine off and threw them away within just a few weeks.

I would worry about water not draining out.

I put them on both doors and they are worthless. The sills still flood with water and dirt. There is no difference between having them and not having them. Save your money.
