Default Just got a 03 ZO6!

Hi everyone,
I just traded in my 2001 convertible M3 for a yellow 2003 50th anniversary ZO with 3000 miles . This is actually my 10th Vette and so far, I think it is the best car I've owned. I was really dreading to get ou of my M3 which I owned for a year, the only thing I can say about it is; Overrated and overpriced !!!
Anyways, just wanted to say hi. I will be installing a Hallteck cold air intake along with a magnaflow X-pipe tomorrow.

Congrats on your new Z06.

I just got 03 Z06 two weeks ago and I couldn't be happier.

Congrats and welcome. Before I got my Z06, my two choices were the M3 and the Z06. After just a couple test drives of each, I agreed with your analysis: Over-priced and over-rated. So, good choice.

Hi VegasZ06,

I just installed a Stinger in my MY02 ZO6. It actually threw lean codes after a a day or two of driving. I cleared them out and things have been good since. Maybe I'll see you at the track for some midnight mayhem

Wow, an other Vegas member! I see you have the same color Z I do . I was at the track last Friday and ran a 13.15 with a 2.45sec 60' time. I know I can get it in the 12's once I learn how to launch this beast!
I also got the lean codes, cleared them and so far so good.
I'll be on the look out for you at the track.

Must be something going around. There has been a rash of folks buying Z's lately. I recommend two mods immediately, all for less than $200 to $300.

First buy and install a column lock by pass and then buy a trunk partition. You won't believe how much impact a partition can make. Later on when you start adding things like cat-back exhaust or LT headers you'll be glad you have the partition even more.

Enjoy the Z.

Thanx buddy, if you don't mind me asking, what's a column lock by pass, what will it do? I had a recal on it, and also I got the "service column lock" indicator that came on so I took it in for service.
I'm ordering the partition this week.

This should help explain it - http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...d=220&pcid=156 It'll be the best $50 you spend on the car, trust me.

Even though I have a by-pass installed I still had the recall done. All they did is re-flash the PCM. This way down the road when I sell the Z all the recalls will be done. I'm told recalls expire and if you don't have a safety recall done a future buyer could really put the screws to you.
