Default Does this sound reasonable...?

My 99 FRC came with B&B exhaust and R&M racing dual flow air intake. These are the only perfomance mods that I know of that the previous owner did to the car. He stated that he had it dino'd and it was making 406 hp (I assume at the rear wheels). does this sound like a reasonable figure for these mods???

I doubt at the rear wheels with those mods.

I say that is aboout 70 hp too high for rear wheel. The mods that that you mentioned will give you about extra 15-20 rwhp.

Wishful thinking on the part of the previous owner. You only had 345 hp at the flywheel stock and I would say the mods you have might be worth 15-20 at the flywheel.

Like others have said, maybe 20 more at the wheels for around 313 using 15% loss thru the drivetrain. Maybe his intentions were good and Dyno'd it and tried to extrapolate the fly wheel numbers from RWHP....and just isn't good at math Any decals? Those add 5 each

Should have told him he was blowing hot air and would have to be sucking "a lot" more cold air to make those numbers.

Sure, it sounds reasonable. If he was talking about 406 of this kind of "horsepower" . . .

Thanks for all the input ya'll..!!! I figured this was a high figure when he told me.....but it really didnt matter towards the sale of the vehicle....I would have bought it even if he said it dyno'd at 1000hp...but to be honest I really didnt do my home work...I really didnt know what the factory HP rating was for the 99 FRC so I didnt question him.....but like I said....I still bought it and still cant get this freakin grin off my face.....!!!!!
