ok, I found it...

The 50th Anniversary Special Edition, available only during the 2003 model year on coupe and convertible models, is a tribute to a half-century of automotive leadership. It includes special Anniversary Red exterior paint, specific badging, Shale interior and champagne-painted anniversary wheels with special emblems. It also features embroidered badges on the seats and floormats, padded door armrests and grips and the convertible features a Shale top. The package includes Magnetic Selective Ride Control.

That's it???

They didn't make a 50th Aniv. Edition Z06.....that's why you get magnetic ride with it. It is just an appearance package, a very sharp looking appearance package but just an appearance package.

Yes you could only get a Anniversary Package in the Coupe or Convertible. The only appearance thing on the Z06 was the 50th badge. That is it. No special color, just a badge.

You get a badge - that's it.

Technically all 2003 Corvette's are 50th Anniversary cars.

The 50th Badge on my 2003 sure added some HP though.
But really, like everyone said, you get the 50th badges. Thats it.
IMO it is the Z06 Badge on the side that says it all anyhow.

I have a 2003 Z06 also and didn't like the looks of the painted silver nose/tail emblems, so I replaced them with the black ones and kept the 50th insert, (also because the silver paint was coming off). You would have thought GM would of done something special for the Z06 also (besides the 50th badge insert), but they didn't.

Guess Chevy was busy with their 20 new cars in 18 months or whatever the numbers were for that new marketing strategy ...
Least they could have done was clearcoat the emblem, maybe that would have helped.

BTW - If people read into/believe commercials, they may be thinking a Cobalt will be in same class of cars as the Vette

AFVETTE - I noticed the top right tip of your emblem that the paint came off also.

Andy64 - I think what would have been better is if GM had plated the emblems chrome. Like they did with the C4 CE emblems. GM just took the cheap route for the C5 by painting them.

Thanks, the black emblems look better on a yellow car anyway.

Use fishing line method to remove emblems, same as removing BSM's. Leave the 50th insert in place and stick new black emblems in place on the car. Easy.

Isn't the "50th" part of the original emblem....it's one piece. So now I'm confused.

Yup, can you e-mail off line at tomjacques@charter with instructions on how to salvage the 50th emblems? I too think the black emblems would look better on my QS.

Thanks in advance

Yes BSM is body side molding.

The 50th insert is not connected to the emblem. They are two separate parts.

One more thing I liked about changing out my silver emblems for the black is the right red flag is brighter on the black one.
