Help with C5 Headlight
I posted this in the Southeast forum but since the majority of people don't read that, I'd thought I'd post it here too.
Hi Everyone,
I got a citation today for my stupid headlight that won't go up because the gear is destroyed. I have the new gear but unfortunately the majority of my tools are up in Boston and I am in Deerfield Beach, FL. Since I don't have the proper tools nor do I really understand what I am to take apart even though its been explained to me a number of times, I was hoping that someone close to my area could give me a hand with this. If anyone has any time in the next 30 days and wants to help me, please let me know. I'd really appreciate it.

Hey Rob,
I live fairly close to you but I dont have the knowledge to help you. If you cant find anyone to help you out and you feel that you must get it fixed immediately, then try calling Horspower Speed in Pompano, just right off West Copans RD. 954-984-8040
Good bunch of guys that do lots of work on vettes and they could easily cut whatver dealer costs are in half. Just tell them you surf teh CF, that I refered you and tell them what the problem is. Ill be there myself Thursday from 1-5 getting a few things done. BTW, I'm from Boston also and maybe by Thursday or shortly after that, we'll be celebrating

Changing the headlight gear isn't all that tough of a project and doesn't require much in the way of tools. Make sure you have the epoxy to re-seal the gear housing before you start, though. You could get it done in an hour or less yourself.
