I have an 04 CE, A4 with 1700 miles on it. I pulled out on the highway today and as it started to up shift, it was like the car went into neutral...nothing, coasted to the side of the road and nothing in any gear. It took 2 1/2 hours to get it towed and I could see the dealership from where I was broken down. In 1700 miles, this car has had the right rear half shaft grease boot replaced and now this. This is my 7th Vette and it's about to make me a believer that the cost vs: GM quality just isn't worth it to own a Vette. Out of 2 1/2 hours, on the side of the road, the only guy to stop and offer help, not that there was anything he could do, was driving a Saleen Mustang, 3 Vettes went by....
i'd stop for a corvette or probably a mustang .. eitherway, sorry you had your troubles. At least this way you've gotten everything out of the way, I know it won't make you feel better but I had most of my driveline replaced at 15 .. she's been doin great since. Perhaps you just got a lemon .. they come out from time-to-time.
I've stopped for 2 broken down Vetts, with one used my AAA card to have it towed. Took AAA 3 1/2 hrs to show, driver said he lived 15 minutes away and came as soon as they called him.

Sorry you are having so many problems with such a low mileage car. You're right, sometimes the quality is just not what it should be. Hope they get your car fixed. And, sorry that none of the other Vettes stopped.
Was the dealership sending the tow or was it AAA or some other service? Either way I would have been tempted to walk to the dealership and say"Come get this POS you sold me". J/K
I hope they find the cause and are able to fix it. The Taylor dealership here has a rotten reputation in their service area.
Did the Dealer repair it to your satisfaction? I have an 04/A4 with 4600 miles on it. So far only one issue, the battery. It discharged for some reason? Dealer checked the entire system and charged it. It's been good ever since.
Dang, last year driving my Jeep to MI, I made an illegal U-turn and went back to see if a guy in a silver Vette needed help on I-65 in IN.
One time I was under a bridge making a cell phone call, four Vettes came off the Interstate, started to turn right, saw me, and all shot over to see if I needed help.
People in Vettes should help other people in Vettes.
As for your trans, in AR a few weeks ago, I floored it and hit some rough pavement, and suddenly the engine raced, but it kept going. Lately, especially when turning a corner at low speed, when it shifts to second gear it studders. Sometimes I have a long 3rd to 4th gear shift.
Thinking my '03 A4 is about to bite the dust.
