Default looking for digitized C5 sewing patterns

I know a local lady who has several of those computerized sewing machines that can do embroidery, but what she doesn't have is a selection of the digitized patterns for C5s, so that's what I'm looking for. It would be great if any of you (or your SOs ) already have some patterns that we could collect, or if you have the software, expertise and willingness to digitize images. PM me if you have some or are willing to create some. Thanks in advance....

hmmmmm.....

what exactly do you mean by "digitize"?

I did a crossed flags logo on AutoCad.
I could get rid of the hatch, scale it, anything like that.
let me know if that helps you.

There are software products that take graphic images and create files that the sewing machins can 'execute' to stich the patterns. The common 'sewing machine' readable format types I have seen include pes, hus and dst formats, but I can't claim to be an expert...

When I had the crossed flags embroidiered on my new seat skins. I just took a high resolution digital picture of what I wanted and gave it to the embroidery Co. and they converted it over for their machines.. they made it sound simple.. but here is the picture I sent them.

Hi Mike, I'll check with her as I am not sure which type(s) she has. What's it of (a profile, the C5 logo, etc)

Can you say.........."Copyright infringement"?????

Most places wont even do something like that. If you do it personally for your own personal use, thats one thing. But if a paid professional does it and charges for that service I think they "could" get in big trouble. Maybe I'm wrong, but thats the impression I have gotten.

I know a lady who does that kind of work and she wont even consider doing it for me.

-EDIT-

Oh yeah...if someone is considering posting a pic that is 9 million pixels wide...you might consider just posting a link to that pic instead of screwing up the readibility of the whole thread.

There are a few digitized vettes available for personal use on George The Digitizer's site - as 2K1 Vette pointed out you do have to be aware of copyright issues, so be careful with what you use as the source image - especially if you are involved in a commercial venture...

Just F.Y.I.

You link to the pic essentially the same way you display the pic.

To display the pic, you put it between the {img}{/img} tags (except you have to use [] instead of {} )

If you want to add a link to the pic instead of displaying the pic, you would put it between these tags {url}{/url} (again using the [] instead of {})

or....if you look at the little menu above the text box when you are in advanced mode....you would click instead of

Yeah...thats it...it had nothing to do with the fact that your pic made us have to scroll left and right 6 inches to read the posts.

in this case, resolution of the image isn't that important. Those commercial embroidery sewing machines have the stitch equivilent of around 60 dpi or lower.
