I just ordered a set from Mid America last week. I ordered the satin black ones. I HATE mudflaps but the road outside my subdivision just layed tar down and covered it in pea gravel. It's not even an 1/8 mile long but I have to drive like 5 mph just not to throw shiet up on my car sooooo now you know why I ordered mudflaps. I'm not having my paintjob trashed because of these stupid redneck road repairs.

Yes, 99, I did the installation myself. My suggestion is that you remove the wheel so that you will have room to work. I put masking tape all over the area where the guard fits, taped the guard into position making sure that the bottom was perfectly horizontal and the guard was square east and west. I then marked the holes with a long, skinny pencil lead, removed the guards and drilled the holes. You will have to bend the bottom clip to fit and then drill the holes for it. Take your time and view the taped on installation from all angles to insure that they are perfectly aligned. I believe that you will like the look. The car looks lower and wider and the guards are functional. Good luck.

If you thought they really sucked, would you put them on your car because WE said they looked good??
And If you loved them and we all said they sucked , would you take them off???
I would save the money on the Mud guards and invest the money in a self help course... WWW.TonyRobbins.com

Burning Brakes
Was Thinkin' to do the same but with a twist...
I like the purpose of the flaps - especially for a raod trip but like others, I too don't care for the 'look' at a show, etc.
I saw a couple with a '59 Vert at a recent show - they were putting the flaps on for the ride home!
that got me to thinkin' about getting the matching flaps and then attaching them with snaps, pins, or some method allowing easy removal. Then the flaps could be there to protect when needed and removed when not needed.
So what do you-all think? Any ideas on quick locks/snaps that would work for this ?
