11 months since I flipped my Z at RA, I'm back on the road. I would like to thank Gene Coggins of Genes Kar shop for his help with the parts(100% class act). For those of us/you who track/lapping day your pride and joy, read your insurance policy carefully. When I was denied coverage because the vehicle was operated on a facility designed for "racing" I found myself in a deep (22k) hole. A good deal from Gene and I was on my way back however finding people willing to do partial repairs was impossible. I ended up straitening my own A pillars, exaust installing my own windshield (thanks Gene). Having done everything else, I decided to paint it myself as well. $125 dollars and a weeks worth of sanding later shes yellow again. Today I drove her to work and could not have been any happier. Thanks to my best friend David for all your help. Scott Bennett aka Otto Krosser
exiting 7 at RA at a Panoz school. Too much throttle too little patience, backed in to inside wall, climbed the wall and rotated. Sore neck and worse pride. Hey, could have been MUCH worse
Glad you're back in business! I remember you initial post when you wrecked her.
So what all did you have to replace. I'm assuming you needed to buy a new roof unit and new windshield.
How'd you straighten your A pillars to spec, do you have access to a frame machine?
I'm an insurance adjuster so I'm very very familiar with auto repair.

well.........short version, 4 fenders, roof, windshield, passenger glass, repaired both doors and rear fascia. Trunk lid was the only unmarred panel. A torch, engine hoist, and correct dementions(sp) did the trick for the A's. Is it perfectly true, probably not, is it safe and fully functional....Hell yes.I dont plan to sell her ANY time soon, but if i did, this story would be fully disclosed. Hell I'm proud of being able to fix it myself. Now , I feel I'm in good hands......mine.
