I am having a problem with my reverse lights now coming on when I put my MN6 into reverse. The lights work when the alarm is armed and disarmed. I had read that there was a sensor or some kind of part that can be replaced to fix this. Can anyone give me some kind of instructions on how this can be fixed. Thanks for the help.
PS--Anyone seen the huge C6 poster hanging from RFK Stadium?

I had this exact problem and it is very common. The reverse backup lamp switch on the transmission went bad. It's on a separate circuit than the approach lights (alarm) so those still work.
Also, check the fuse in the engine compartment for the backup lights - should be #38. Usually when the switch goes bad, it shorts the circuit/blows the fuse.
The switch is located on the upper passenger side of the transmission. It easily can be unscrewed from the tranny body and replaced if you're out of warranty, and not too expensive (< $20). You'll see a wiring connector to this switch.
