I am looking for the best radar detector but want to conceal the display. What are you thoughts and the cost for the detector you have and the installation. Thanks in advance

IMHO Valentine V1

Plus I just noticed that you live in Virginia so since radar detector are illegal in VA, Valentine will not ship to VA.

I LOVE my Valentine 1. It has saved my butt from time to time. The concealed display works great, too.

Just have it shipped to someone in another state and then have them forward it to you.

Check out www.escortradar.com the SR7 is concealed. When I travel into VA I come in at night with my display off. V1 is a great unit but will not cut it for your situation. VA local law enforcement will have your butt if they catch you with a detector not too mention keep your detector or break it in front of your eyes and hand it back to ya.

But the unit still has to mount where it is visible, V1 has a remote display that can be mounted out of sight but the cops will look for, and spot, the unit. I have some friends that live in GA and were driving through VA a few weeks ago. Their V1 was off but they still left it in the window. A cop pulled them over just because of that. He was nice and did not confiscate it because they were fron out of state, he said to just put it in the trunk.

I know someone from France that mounted a concealed unit in his 2003 AE Coupe. He got some plastic Z06 screens and mounted the antenna's in the nose behind the screens. I forget what type it was but I remember it was about a grand.

With the V1 , where do you mount the rear sensor?...With the new escort remote, It mounts like a license frame, with a laser jammer built in
