Your owners manual lists in great detail all the types of fluids that are recommended for your Z06.
I believe its a waste of money to do an oil change if you are a quart low. But the real question is why are you a quart low, or whatever the amount is. These engines, even doing DEs, don't burn oil.

Mobile 10W30 in a warm climate, 5W30 where it is cold. How many miles on the oil change, and (therefore) how many miles before it got a quart low? You should get at least 3K miles, most get 5K or more, without having to add oil. If you have over 5K miles since the last change and you are low I would go ahead and change the fluids, and while you are at it upgrade the oil filter to a UPF, Mobile 1, K&N or equiv.

Top off with the oil that you are using ( it should be a synthetic). the engines in the c5 and ZO6 use 6 1/2 qts. if you are going to do autocrosses or road racing adding an extra quart (to 7 1/2) is a must.
