Default Storage question for 99 Vert

I have seen many posts of this on various forums - Can someone help clarify a fews things. - Should the top be unlatched to remove pressure- is there anything bad that can happen by doing this?
- should the doors be only closed to the 1st click?
- should the windows be down about an inch to not put pressure on the moldings
- any thoughts on tire pressure, I've seen ranges of 40-50 lbs.
Thanks...

Here is a past post of mine on this topic:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=934619

I closed my soft top completely and also open my window about 3/4 of an inch. I pumped the tire to 40 psi and added fuel stabilizer to my full tank of gas. Also layed some carpet down.

I'm sure everyone has their own ideas on what's best when storing a car. I have a coupe and I usually move a few times during the winter so I don't do too much special, but if that wasn't the case, here are a couple ideas of what I think.

Pump the tires up by another 5 - 10 lbs, or better yet, jack up the car to remove some of the weight on the suspension, not to leave the wheels hanging, just enough to un-load the suspension. Disconnect the battery and remove it from the car, store in a warm dry place, not on a concrete floor and best to leave it hooked up to a trickle charger. Un-latch the rag top to releive the stress on the material. Make sure that where you leave the car, mice can't get into it, if there is a chance use mothballs (and some traps) to keep them away. Use die-electric grease on the weather striping before storing. Fuel stabilizer in the gas tank. Plus a good coat of wax can't hurt. That's the least I think you should do.
