Default Wheels and sensors

My friend is looking to buy C5 thin spokes polished for his 99 coupe. He is a big polished aluminum fan and does not want chrome. He currently has wagon wheels painted. Couple of questions.
1. Will his current air sensors work if he buys polished wheels from 00 through 04 car? If not then I guess he would need to buy new sensors, are there any considerations for him as far as the new sensors working with his 99 coupe.
2. Can you get new aftermarket polished wheels, not chrome, in stock sizes?
3. If the answer to 2 is yes will they give a trade in for his wagon wheels?
4. Also if anyone has the polished think spokes for sale please post as I will be sending this info to my budy he is ready to buy.
Thanks in advance for responses.

sensors will be an issue...lots of wheels for sale in the C5 parts section...also lots of vendors have them in their "garage sale" section

His existing sensors should work fine. The big issue with sensors (that I'm aware of) is that 2000+ sensors won't work on earlier models, & vice-versa.

I think when I read it I interpreted it as the wheels he was buying had sensors in which case they would be a problem but after looking again you are right..he is just buying the wheels

He needs to retain his sensors - and they can be installed on a set of the newer style thin spokes.

A lot of members here have used House of Wheels. Here's an email address for you to contact Bob - mailto:houseofwheels98@aol.com

I've not used them personally, but I've heard good things about the quality of the product, the prompt service and the fair prices. As far as trading in the wagons - they're not highly desirable, and probably not worth much on trade. I'd discuss that option with Bob as well!

Good luck!
