Every time I wash my car or the rotors get wet they film over with rust... I hate it...do I just need to get new rotors or is there some way to avoid this?

I get that same rust immediately after washing. Before putting her away I drive to the end of the block and by the time I get home they are clean again.

All brake rotors do that... it's normal. The rust will come off when you drive it and use the brakes...

Because of the iron content, the factory rotors do rust. But, driving short distances and periodically applying the brakes will remove this.
Stop washing your car... ! in five years I haven't washed my car five times..
My rotors are four years old and have 40,000 miles on them , this picture is about a month old..

Even the plated rotors just get the plating worn away so the swept area will always rust. If it's any consolation, the more they rust, the better the rotors tend to be - Brembos really rust. Like they say above, just drive it and it goes.

All factory rotors will do this - you just need to take it for a short drive. The rust will come off when you apply the brakes and once the rotors dry. Not a whole lot you can do to prevent it.
