Get some pieces of old carpet and put a square under each wheel. A battery maintainer/tender would be good for keeping the battery charged. Some Sta-Bil fuel stabilizer would be good for the gas. May want to get some moisture absorbing packets for the interior.

I recommend getting it out of storage and driving it. It's a car, that's what you do with cars.

I lived in Warwick,NY jes' down the road from you, for 16 years. (No Vette then, but 4 M'cycles.) Jeeshh, you really don't have to park it until maybe Xmas week or the 1st, depending.

After "parking it", it should be Easily driveable by early-mid March. Not like a retired car in Barrow, Alaska.

All I Ever did was add Stabil to the gas, run the Batt Tender 1-2 times/month,etc. The Stable of sleds fired up Every March or April at the latest, if we had a pile of snow in the north shade in front of garage. MidtownNY is not the north pole, lol! Rt 17 is plowed and sanded all season...the worst thing you have to dodge is the leftover grit from the fine, caring NYDOT,lol!
It's a Car! BR, David

Default stowage

folks. i know cars are meant to be driven. i work in nyc commute 1-1/2 hrs a day drive 900 miles a week. my 50 ae has 4000 miles on it.would not drive my car into the city. just comes time when it is not feasible to drive this type car. the other day i hit a wet spot with fall leaves and almost went off the road, 'nough said. i usually wash the car, add 10 lbs extra tire pressure to each tire and store it next to my 1986 transam. just thought any other tips might be helpful. btw thanks for winter storage link. respect for you daily drivers out there-just not for me. i have an suv for the snow.remember some of us get more satisfaction having a garage queen. "drive it like you stole it" would not apply to all of us.

I bought some extruded styrofoam to put under the tires to stop them from flat spoting. 2" foam and I cut bevels on the rear ones so that I could drive up and over them an bevels on the front ones to drive up onto them it works great and they are light and easy to store. Had them 3 years now and they are still good. My .02
