Z06 specs

I've heard mention in several different threads here about the lower weight of the Z06 compared to the coupe. I've searched everywhere but I can't find the official figure. Anybody here know? Particularly the 04 CE because I know they made some additional efforts with the hood and all. Also it would be nice to know how they did it as well. I know the Ti exhaust is part of it.

The '04 CE is 11 lbs lighter due to the CF hood.

Mine stock weighed 3,030 lbs. with a quarter tank of gas.
Since I went to LG's titanium exhaust and removed the air pump and lines it now weighs 3,000 even.

If you go to the GM/Chevrolet/Corvette website I believe all pertinent data, including weight is listed if you look.

At 3,118 pounds the 2003 Z06 is 128 pounds lighter than the curb weight of the coupe. The convertible is 2 pounds heavier than a coupe.

As indicated in another reply the 2004 CE hood weighs 10.6 pounds less than the standard Z06 hood.

The carbon fiber 2004 CE hood weighs 20.5 pounds.

I obtained some shipper paperwork that was in my 04 Z06 when I took delivery. Shipping weight was 3055 lbs.

I wonder where the 3118 comes from? Several people have had their Z's weighed and it's almost always a good deal less than the 3118 that GM advertises
