Default Problems With Top Down Commander

Hi all,

I have been having problems with the window up feature. The windows will go half-way up and then come down again. I've tried calibrating it a few times and it still does it. My driver's side window is slow to go up and I am thinking that is the problem. Is there anything that can be done besides getting a new motor?

Thanks,
Matt

Are you talking about the Window Valet product?

I had the exact same problem for a while and I reset it to maximum strength. It worked in solving the problem in my case.

Do you still have the instruction sheet?
If not, http://www.topdowntech.com/documents/WV-100.pdf

Good luck

Live on the eastside. You? Would be cool to meet other Corvette owners in EP. Send me a message if you get a chance.

It doesn't sound like it's the calibration in this case. The Valet has a safety feature that if it encounters an obstacle while going up (like a hand, or arm) it will retract. I'm guessing the slow window you mentioned is caused by drag putting excessive force on the window. The Window valet is reading this as something in the way and won't go up. I bet the maximum strength mode will work just fine for you. As an aside, you might want to look into the extra drag on your window...it will cause a problem someday for you.
