Last week I picked up my awesome 2001 quick silver Z06. Its my first vette and I don't think I'll ever be without one again. Anyways, I got my first race under my belt last night. My buddy has a modified 1998 Potiac TA WS6 (full length headers, exhaust, stall, air box, ls6 intake, drag radials). The car is good for a mid to high 12 second pass. He got me out of the hole cause he hooked up better, but through second and third gears I was starting to pull back on him. Unfortunately we ran out of road so I never got to pass him up. I'm definitely thinking about doing some mod's to get some revenge. Let me know what you think the best bang for the buck is short of getting a blower.

Take it to the track and get some video and you won't have to worry about running out of road or anything for that matter.
Just get a set of good drag radials. The probleme with most ZO6 drivers is launching this beast. 3.90's or 4.10's will only make it worse on take off . Get DR's!!!
Seat time BEFORE you start adding power is the best mod, and as others have said take it to the track. With bolt-on mods (Vararam, Kooks or LGM headers, tuning) you should be good for a 30 RWHP increase or so, or around 380 RWHP, which should put you in the low 12's. Drag radials are a great investment as others have said as well.

DRs help a ton. I didn't race mine on street tires until I had 50 passes. These cars are so limited by traction and DRs negate that. You will be instead on spinning. Like above, add an intake, DRs and seat time and you will be low 12's and 99% of the F bodies and snakes. Great car and congrats!
