Skid Plate / Bars
Hi,
Thought I'd try this question in General...
Question. I recently ordered and received a new skid plate (skid bars) for my Vette. I thought these were always shipped pre-painted black. The part I received was unpainted. It also appears to be galvanized. Finally, this thing seems like it's made out of really light weight metal for a skid plate.
Any of you replace yours lately? Does this all sound correct?

Haven't replaced mine, but they are getting kind of banged up. You would figure they would at least come painted.

The shop has it, and they acted like I supplied them with the wrong part... like they've never seen one like this before. He expected the part to be made out of heavier steel (non-galvanized) and pre-painted black. Is this a newer version of the skid plate?
