3.42 gears on an A4??? That really screws up the HP equation. 2.71 or 3.15 are closer to A4 ratios. Generally the A4 output is about 285 - 300 (rwhp), but with 3.42 gears, I don't know what to say!

The blackwing should add 10-15, but as I mentioned, the 3.42 rear end confuses me.

Nukecop - I'm sure you're guy from whom I purchased the chrome wagon wheels at Xtreme!

I don't know the answer to the question - I can only make a guess - probably 330 rwhp - and about 325 rwtq. But as I said - it's only a guess. I'm sure one of the other guys could give you a more accurate answer.

I'd agree - somewhere around 330 rwhp and about 325 torque. Hard to say exactly since every car is a little different and not sure what your new computer program consists of since you say no tuning or edit. Best bet is just get it dyno'd and go from there. Sounds like a very nice ride.

BTW, welcome to the forum.

With the intake and the headers, but no tuning, I'm going to guess around 320 rwhp and rwtq. But I think you really need to get it tuned, which usually includes dyno runs in the package.

HTH, and have a good one,
Mike

First, although gears are often quoted as being the "cheapest Horsepower" you can get. They do NOT change engine output - merely allow the engine to move more easily through its power range. Gears provide impressive performance change.

My mods are similar to yours and my 2000 Vert dynoed at 373 Torque/341 HP. This vette has a 6 speed and 4.10 differential. I have never had it at the track, but it clocks consistent 4.0 second 0-60 times and is responsive at any speed and a quick stoplight car.

thanks for all the responses, i have had it dynoed a few times, in warm weather and cooler and i'm at max power= 300.8/ max torque=300.0, as of 10/28/04 in tempe az. i was told that the gains i would get is minimal and the tuning would be a waste, maybe i have one those cars that more hp/ rwhp is very difficult to obtain, without going extreme like h/c package. The quest continues.
