Default While driving my C5 yesterday

Sunday was the first nice day that I got to drive my vette. I stopped at a light, and next to me with the windows rolled down, I heard a girl about 12 yrs. old say: Dad, I like that corvette!....Man the compliments never cease, gotta love it....

Stopped to fill-up today, two boys (about 12ish?) couldn't stop staring as I pulled in. I got out to start and one kid right away asked me....

"So, what's under the hood"?

I commented, it's a 350 with a supercharger.... He turns to his buddy and says

"I KNEW IT! TOLD YOU IT HAD A BLOWER"!!!

I got a kick outta that. The kids begin to tell me about how they're big into the "import" scene, I tell'em it's great to have a hobby..... but Hondas & Toyotas simply weren't my thing.

They were very respectful, so I popped the hood and gave them a glimpse. Hey I remember what it was like to be a kid that LOVED cars too!!

I finished filling the car, started it up and rev'ed it a couple of times for them. Needless to say their jaws dropped..... Nearly 500rwhp coming out of a blown Vette with LT Kook's headers and Corsa Indys makes quite an impression. Not exactly a common sight in my town.

You gotta love these cars!!! Hopefully, I've given these boys something to attain to in the future.

Default Kids luv em.

Was out last week in the afternoon....working at home
Such an awesome day for the fall season and ended up following behind a school bus full of kids about 7-10 years old I'd say.
2 girls in the back were glued to the rear windows and you could read their lips "WOW". In no time the back windows were full of faces and some hanging out the windows for a look. What a site going down the road.

Gotta luv vettes......
