Default Body side moulding

Hi,

I might be purchasing a new 04 z06 but it doesnt have the body side moulding option. I was wondering if it could be added later on. Thanks.

Yes, with fishing line. Do a search on the forum, lots of people have removed them this way.

Body Side Moldings on each side ads an additional 13.9 lbs.

No need for 'em!

My '04 has the BSM's. Thought I would get used to them or appreciate their function over time. Neither has happened so ,for me, they have to go.

Looks a hundred times better without them, but yes, you can add them! You can find them at mid america.com or the dealership!

No body side moldings for me. I think it looks much better without them. But you are correct about just being able to remove them or add them quite easily.

Anyone know the step by step removal method?........does it leave marks in the paint once removed?

Tons of removal material in the archive of your choice. They can be purchased and installed, and that usually runs between $200-300. You may be able to find some for sale by an owner who has removed them. If it's done correctly, there is no damage.

Default 13.9lbs????

It's a matter of opinion. I tried to like mine but had them removed finally. Like it much better now. Should have done it myself but the dealer offered to do it no cost when I bought the car. They chipped two of the small sections so I guess they're trash. Didn't hurt the paint though.

!!! 13.9lbs added to the car for BSM's! Darn, I must be strong. Mine - all of the pieces appears to be light as a feather - maybe 1-2 lbs. Maybe that's 13.9lb of downforce?

I like the looks MUCH better with BSM's. I don't believe they are 13.9lbs.

me, i like it either way

i mean, it's still a vette

i have them on mine, might take them off one day if i want a new look...

but i don't quite understand how some people can have such a strong opinion on them to the point that they either hate them and don't want to look at a vette with BSM (or without)

it's all good in my book...i usually don't even notice if a car has them or not unless i literally look for them

i think they look a little sporty too
