I just went to my front yard, <been grillin in the back> to find my neighbors kids playing baseball.....with real ball and bat, probably 10 feet away from my car, batter facing my car!!?! I'm on my way to talk to their mother here in a few minutes after i cool down, car's now locked in the garage.

Sorry - but how old are these kids? Are they really responsible? did they actually hit your car?
Here's another thought to ponder - why is your car out of the garage when it could have been in there with the door closed - leaving no worries for damage?
I would tread lightly - why make a neighbor an enemy if you don't have to?
i'm cooling off b4 i do anythign if that's what you mean by tread lightly, i believe they're 12 or 13, I'm not really blaming this kids, i don't know that i'm blaming anybody but just going to ask that the mother has them check b4 they start knocking solid things like a baseball towards my car. My car is out of the garage as it's a tight fit with my talon in there, and i'm about to head out to the track.....As for damage i haven't even surveyed the car, i know as i was watching them after i pulled the car in the ball went straight through where my car was.

Yes - I mean cool off before you storm over there. If these kids are 12-13 years old, they'll be teenagers next year. I KNOW we all remember being teenagers and having an ahole neighbor that we loved to torment......
A reasonable approach like you're considering is a better one than screaming.
And one last thing - I'm not challenging you about why your car is out, I was just curious. Remember - CALM!!!!
let it go. No flag,no foul . Park your car in the garage.
If there wasn't any harm done, I wouldn't make a bigger issue out of it. Maybe even talk to the kids about baseball and your concern.
You don't want teenagers on your bad side. They could really make your life hell and do some serious damage down the road. I'm not saying give in to them, but don't make a mountain out of this.

I'd be more worried about some idiot at the track if it was me. Get one of those fake video cameras mounted to your house. Drive by and say, what'd you think?
Besides, what harm can a few baby goats do with a bat and *****? I thought they ate everything?

Good idea to approach the neighbor after cooling down. A nice, calm discussion about your concerns may result in the parents talking to the kids and the problem being solved. Good luck.

You might be surprised how if you give teens respect, they will give it back to you. On the other hand, you give them s***, they'll do all they can to do the same to you.
I never park my Vette on the street, and it's a very quiet street...it's always in the garage unless I'm stopping by to pick up my wife to go somewhere and then it's in the driveway for no more than 5 minutes. Other than that, it's the garage for my Red Racer...

Hmmm,
I would invite the kids over for some Corvette history, let them sit in the car so they can oooh and aaah. Then take each for a ride around the block, making sure to drive by their friends houses so they can wave.
Then after the joy rides let them know how difficult and expensive it is to repair the Corvette panals and windows if damaged, and how much your Vette means to you. Hey if the Mom's a looker, include her in the rides and fun. Guaranteed the kids will protect your car not just from their own actions, but will feel like they need to be the neighborhood watch against other perils.
