Windshield Replacement
Yesterday I had the windshield replaced on my '98. I was assured that the replacement glass would either be LOF or PPG. The glass was, in fact, PPG but it was "Made in China!" What a surprise. Anybody else have a similar experience?

Had a similar incident with my C4 coupe a couple years back. I had a lengthy discussion with the glass shop about my only accepting oem glass. When I went to p/u the car that afternoon the 1st thing I noticed was "Made In Mexico" on the corner of the windshield! I got in the car and it was wavier than a circus mirror. They removed it, ordered PPG (made in USA) and replaced the glass and the pillar and header rubber (for the 2nd time) I asked them if doing it right the 1st time wouldn't have been easier?

APT, PPG and LOF are all OE replacement glass and even thought they may say made in china or mexico or canada...the quality of them is still the same...granted...it's always possible to get a bad one out of a bunch....the equipment is still the same as they use here in the U.S.....just cheaper help...
