I always like to take care when I am driving my BlueAngel. I was following a person (I do not know his or her age) in a Mustang that had rather loud mufflers (also, quite smelly )! We pulled up to a stop light with me in the Vette behind him, when the light turned green, the idiot decided to do a "peelout"! What is the deal? Is this person trying to show off for a Vette? Am I suppose to be impressed?? I hope this does not get a lock! Just wanted to get this off my chest!
If any of you frequent the Gym you can see the same type of behavior, some huge bodybuilder will be sitting there minding his own business and smaller guys that walk past him suddenly have to puff out their chests and bow their arms out away from their bodies like they have Mr.Olympia porportions.
Alphas always get challenged.. it's just nature.. get used to it.

Hey Diva,
Happens all the time. I can be minding my own business driving down the road and some kid in a clapped out Honda or whatever will gather up momentum and manage to "fly" by me. Oh well, maybe it makes their day to "go faster" than my Vette...
Let me guess you probably have never even floored your vette.
Now I agree with you doing stuff like that mustang driver did was pretty stupid, but I must say, what fun would it be if everyone on the street drove like an elderly person in a Buick? I find it amusing seeing other people do stupid stuff (as long as it doesnt endanger anyone)
At least it was a mustang. I have pintos and station wagons peeling out next to me! Everywhere I go the smallest slowest piece of scrap tailgates me. Whew! Got that off my chest BTL

I actually like to drive my car carefully, so I do not wreck it! As for burnouts, those are for people who know what they are doing! I do not want to mess up the tires!

Best course of action is to ignore the pinheads like this. As far as doing burnouts - I've had my car almost one year, and I've NEVER lit 'em up! Oh and BTW - anyone who knows me, knows I don't drive the car like it's a Buick!
One of the best parts of Vette ownership is KNOWING you can take about 90% of the cars out there and not having to demonstrate that! It's like being the biggest and meanest S.O.B. in the neighborhood!
Tires and in my case - the clutch is too expensive to waste showing off for a juvenile moron. Besides, I've got nothing to prove and neither do you - we drive the only sportscar that matters!

I wonder if people in other makes of cars are proud of them too and drive them carefully so they don't wreck them???? I wonder if there are also dumbazzez that drive vettes and rev on others, thinking they are superiour? Nahhhh, of course not.

Just ignore them. They like to think these exhibitions put them in a higher class. Lucky for you there was not any gravel on the road that could have been kicked up on the car.
I had three kids in some kind of ricer vert pull up beside me at the light yesterday. Of course, they were reving the engine and staring at me. So I finally looked over and the girl in the back says, "Let's Race". So I smiled and watched them take off, and waved at the girl in the back seat. They slowed down, due to traffic, and I got next to them again. They were still messing with me, so while still in 1st, I waited until the driver was right at the rear of my car and then I stomped it (oh yeah, this was my first ride after installing my LG Longtubes, with Corsa Indys). I thought the driver was going to cry when I looked back at him. No more nonsense from those punks anymore.
