Door chimes
Thanks to all who have written in response to my desperate plea (posted yesterday) for help re: the chimes going off when I open my driver's door. This Forum is truly a band of brothers and sisters. To keep you updated: As soon as the problem occurred (again!) this past Saturday I immediately unhooked the battery because I knew by the chimes that it would go totally dead. That was the wrong move. The head tech just came by and when I reconnected the battery for him there was no chime, naturally! Also, no codes; evidently these were cleared out,if they were there at all. So now, he wants me to call him as soon as the problem recurs, and it will, and he will come right down and check it out. You couldn't ask for better treatment form a dealer (Criswell's in MD).
Anyway, thanks again, and I am still hoping for even more ideas from anybody.
