I bought a 1999 C5. The power seats on both the driver and passenger side move foward and back (slack?) about 1 inch no matter what position the seats are in hard braking or acceleration. The dealership said this is normal. Is this true? Why is this if it is true?
Don't know if this is what your are describing or not, but a number of people here have reported problems with the seats rocking in the C5. If the Forum search feature will cooperate, you should find a number of posts on this subject.
This sounds like the "rocking seat" problem. My 98 Vette driver's seat does this occasionally. It's not a big enough problem for me to fix it at this point.
it is (to a dealer) normal, because so many of them do it, however it was not a feature that the General meant to have happen. Can you say Rock On? I did see a post in C5parts a while back from someone who will fix it for you if you send him the track and some money - sounds like a good winter project.
