Except for "spirited" twisty mountain driving, I leave my setting on the softest "Tour" selection. I can definitely tell a difference if I switch it all the way over to "performance". It really make the shocks much stiffer. If I was to order a new Vette, I would pass on this option. I'm basically a "cruiser"!

Unless you C5 is just a track queen, F55 is awesome. Best of all worlds for sure.

Thanks for the input.

I'm trying to decide if I absolutely need this option on a potential C5 purchase.

I have the F45 option. IMHO it's OK but not a requirement. If you want to upgrade to the F55 the car would have to have had F45 originally. If you want to edit the otion out later you can and just run regular shocks.

Found what F55 is. You can upgrade F45 to F55?????? I thought it is two different systems all together.

Yep, you can. Saw it at SEMA show in Las Vegas. You can get more info at GM's performance web site. Can't recall the link right now...

F45 is cool if you do average to a little above average driving. I do miss being able to put the car in tour and within a second or two notice all the bumps on the freeway melt away. I usually kept my car in performance but it was nice to be able to soften up the road for comfort or a date...
