Default Dodged a Bullet

Well, I'm driving from DC to Dayton Oh, via Rt 70 and Rt. 68. Driving through Western Md. I notice a guy in a Toyota SUV kinda ******* my rear. I'm driving along at a respectable speed (75ish). So I accelerate and he accelerates trying to keep up with me. We play this game for about 30 miles or so while getting close to triple digits on the speedo. Finally I say, Ok if you want to be first, its ok and I drop back. (Did I mention I don't have a radar detector?). He pulls past me finally and gets about 3/8 a mile ahead. We are on the curvy, up n downs roads of Western Md close to WV. and I lose him as he goes over a hill. When I get to the top of the hill I see BRAKE LIGHTS down the other side. Two cars (his and another) are braking and I brake as well. A MD State trooper had pulled out from the medium strip and was now along side both cars. I'm hanging back watching all this. The Trooper pulls behind my adversary and turns on the Lights! I drive by.. behaving myself WOW... I guess my sixth sense came in handy!! Sorry for the other guy thought but hey? He didn't hafta be first huh? Any way I drove a lil slower the rest of the way and on the return trip!

not that i agree with the law, but isn't having a radar detector in the car grounds for some kind of ticket, and possibly impoundment, in those states?

Having a radar detector in Va is illegal. I don't think it is in the other states.

Correct. However, radar detectors are legal in all states except Virginia and Washington D. C.

However, radar scramblers or jammers are illegal in most states. There are a few radar detectors that have jamming capabilities, these could be confiscated.

Thanks for the link!
Yes I think I had driven long enough at that rate of speed which is why I decided to let him go first. Turned out to be a wise decision!

It blows me away how many people hold up traffic and then accelerate when someone gets on their tail. Get out of the way!

Motto: "I can't drive 65"
No matter what road I am on, I have a hard time doing 65. Either I am below or above that speed. For some reason, my foot doesn't allow for 65 mph.

That's the good/bad part about owning this car. It drives sooooo good its hard not to drive it as fast as you want to . Maybe I can get some kinda Pill for that huh!
