Anybody got a write up on changing out rotors and pads? I begin the task tomorrow.
Got the NAPA rotors for $25 locally and my PFC Z's pads from Autozone and received yesterday.
Not uncomfortable going at it like I've done on any other car, just curious if there are any hidden tips or tricks to be aware of?
In the box with the pad's are what look like some sort of a plate of somekind. Are those used?
Any help kindly appreciated.
Big breaker bar is require to remove caliper bracket bolts, and a big torque wrench is required for the caliper bracket bolts. Clean the threads on the bolts before reuse, and a good idea to run a tap to clean out the threads in the holes. Use loctite on the bracket and caliper bolts.
Torque on caliper bracket bolts is 175 N.m. Caliper bolts is 31 N.m (all torques are for front and rear).
Be careful when removing rear rotor to prevent popping the parking brake shoe assembly off the rear backing plate, and the wave spring, when you remove the rotor. (Make sure parking brake is not engaged.)

Just swapped mine..piece of cake...its easier with 2 people only because lining up the caliper bolts is tricky with getting the calipers back on....we didn't need a breaker bar to loosen the bolts but a short torque wrench would be handy
