Hey all,
I've currently got a 2001 M6 C5 Coupe with a blackwing, borla stingers, and 4.10 rear end ratio...I am a diehard convertible guy, and only bought the coupe because I am going to have it up here in Colorado for about the next couple of years where the weather makes a vert entirely impractical...However, I intend to sell this one when I graduate from school out here and buy a convertible C5 instead...I was wondering, is it possible and if so how big of a deal (monetarily speaking) would it be to transfer my stingers, blackwing (I'll just do this myself), and rear end over to another C5? I'd like to enjoy all these goodies on the new vert, especially since they dont add anything to the resale of my current car and actually hurt the value
A friend of mine is on his fifth brand new C5. And he does the same; most of his mods get transferred over. This last time he had the dealer swap the aftermarket exhaust system over from his trade-in to the new C5... as part of the purchase agreement. He had kept his trade-ins factory exhaust. They put that back on the C5 he was trading in.
